As part of The Rush Season, Derby City Libraries presents award-winning author and performance poet Jean Binta Breeze.

Originally from Jamaica, Jean is world renowned as a story-teller and is regarded as the first woman to write dub poetry. Her latest book is The Fifth Figure, a sequence mixing poetry and prose which chronicles the lives of five generations of Caribbean and Black British women of mixed ancestry. This is a great chance to see an engaging and vibrant performer at work - book soon!
