Derby Cultural Diversity Arts Network

Part of the aim of DCDAN is to help artists and organisations know where to access help and funding for their projects.

There will be a session from Derby City Council about its Small Arts Grant scheme. Now open to individual artists, this could help bolster your funding for your project.

Also, Jason Pegg from The East Midlands Funders Forum will run a workshop looking at small grants. He will focus on these points:

1. The key principles that potential grant making applicants should bear in mind when submitting grant applications up to approximately £10,000
2. Advice and guidance on identifying small funding sources
3. Consideration of what funders are likely to want to know about projects
4. An explanation of the usual eligibility criteria for small grants
5. The key points to consider when completing application forms for small grants
6. Advice on what funders expect from organisations if they receive a small grant
7. An opportunity to be in the position of a funder and to understand what they look for
