How?
The Hot House will create an environment that encourages rapid growth through a once in a lifetime opportunity to discover, reveal and enhance the various paths you may have to travel in your quest for the leader within. The Hot House will use the following strategies:
- Knowledge and skills transfer: The programme will support professional, personal and intellectual growth through a variety of knowledge and skills transfer mechanisms. Plenaries, workshops, charettes and one to one sessions with a range of key individuals and organisations from the Programme Directors themselves to directors of cultural organisations, politicians, recruitment consultants, mentors and advisors will ensure that there is both effective and efficient knowledge transfer on a range of areas.
- Creating new networks and unlocking existing networks: The Programme will open up opportunities for initiating new, powerful and well-informed networks through the individuals and organisations it will invite to play a role within The Hot House as well as through the various programmes of activity the participants will have to undertake either individually or collectively. It will also help in the unlocking of existing networks by equipping participants, with the skills and knowledge, to breach seemingly closed doors.
Opportunities
The Hot House offers a fresh approach to leadership – one that is unusual, challenging and exhilarating – through:
- Opportunities for a week-long International residency
- Opportunities to interact directly with national figures in the cultural, political and academic sectors through shadowing, mentoring and workshop programmes
- Opportunities to have participants’ details in the portfolios of some of the leading recruitment consultancies in the land
- Opportunities to unlock the leader within through a series of charettes - an intensive collaborative planning process where different skills within the group are skilfully deployed to produce strategic, headline project concept-creation
- Opportunities to reveal the leader within. Your skills will be tested to the limit. You will be the main architect of many of the programme components with the chance to demonstrate initiative and flair. The Hot House will provide the route map, milestones and undergirding but the choices and judgements about the choreography of key elements will have to be made by you.
